Contest Description
While Christmas is fixed in the Gregorian calendar, Ramadan follows a lunar cycle. This means that every few decades the two holidays line up... this year, it's Eid at Christmas!
It's the holiday season, and we're looking for a heartwarming film that will bring together two different communities in holiday cheer.
We're looking for a commercial, feel-good, hilarious holiday movie that will be a vehicle for beloved stars, attracting communities of all faiths to show that what unites us is far greater than what doesn't.
- An interfaith couple who have to negotiate two sets of in-laws...
- A community center that is accidentally double-booked for both events...
- A child with two divorced parents of different faiths who want nothing more than for them to celebrate the holidays together...
The possibilities are endless, and we're open to anything as long as its fun and fresh.
Make us swoon with a romcom like Four Christmases or Love Actually (Love Wallahi?), tickle us with something inventive, or pull on our heart strings.
The key will be to deliver the Hallmark accessibility while elevating it into an enduring classic. If it's going to be cheesy... make sure it's knafeh.
TECHNICAL SPECS:
We're looking for a developed treatment that is up to 10 pages with fleshed out, relatable characters, delightful story arcs, and artful writing.

There are a total of one (1) prize available to be won as follows: one (1) First Prize consisting of a license fee cash award of usd $1500, Odds of winning depend on number and quality of eligible entries received before contest closes.
