You must be an active Member of Open Screenplay to participate in this contest. Only Open Screenplay Members whose membership is active and in good standing at the date of completion of the contest judging will be eligible for prizes. Users whose membership is not active at the date of completion of contest judging, will be deemed ineligible for the contest.

Topic: Open – pick any subject you like

Duration: The film must have a maximum runtime of approx 120 minutes, based on 1 page per minute.

Rating: Abide by a “R” (or younger) rating. For clarification as to the various ratings, consult the MPAA guidelines:

Narrative: Fiction only, no documentaries.

Language: screenplay must be written in English.  

Maximum number of submissions:  Unlimited. You may enter the contest with as many screenplays as you’d like. However, only completed screenplays will be considered.

Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in disqualification from the contest.
