FIRST PRIZE DESCRIPTION

There will be 1 first prize (the "First Prize").  The First Prize consists of $500.00CAD cash, which must be accepted as awarded.

SECOND PRIZE DESCRIPTION

There will be 10 second prizes (each, a "Second Prize").  Each Second Prize consists of $100.00CAD cash, which must be accepted as awarded.

Collectively, all of the prizes described in these Rules (regardless of prizing level) will be referred to as the "Prizes". All Prizes will be awarded as-is. No Prize substitutions permitted (except at Sponsors option, in its sole and absolute discretion).

In addition to the Prizes set out above, the Prize Provider may (but is not in any way obligated to), in its sole and absolute discretion, elect to use a winning Entry (and each component thereof – including, without limitation, the corresponding Story Concept) (each, a “Winning Submission”) and commission the applicable winner to develop a screenplay based on the Winning Submission for a Prize Provider production.

By accepting a Prize, each applicable winner: (i) grants to the Prize Provider, in perpetuity, a worldwide, exclusive, sub-licensable, royalty-free, license to publish, display, copy, reproduce, modify, develop, edit (including without limitation, in order to help with readability, clarity or production), make available, communicate to the public by telecommunication, exploit and otherwise use his/her Winning Submission , in whole or in part, for advertising or promotion or for any other reason (including without limitation, the production of any number of film productions based on the applicable Winning Submission, or development of screenplay(s) from the Winning Submission) in any type of media; and (ii) agrees to sign any document(s) that may be required by the Prize Provider in its sole and absolute discretion, to confirm the rights granted by this section, as well as the winner’s waiver of all moral rights in and to his/her Entry and release of the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from use of his/her Entry, as set out above.
