This contest is our way to help get you started. It's a celebration of what becomes possible when our Rawi screenwriting companion meets a writer who has an original story only they can share - and isn't afraid to use every tool available to tell it.

Tell us a story — any story. Any genre, any subject, any voice. Drama or comedy, horror or sci-fi, period piece or coming-of-age, experimental or documentary-style — whatever moves you, moves us. We're not here to tell you what to write. We're here to give you the tools to write it well. The only rule is that it has to be yours.
We're looking for a short film screenplay, no more than 15 pages — one page for every minute of screen time. It must be written exclusively on Open Screenplay and co-developed with Rawi, your AI writing partner across three modes: Screenwriting Companion, Critic, and Illustrator, all working toward one mission — making your story better.
The winning screenplay takes home $1,000 USD, an option agreement for production, and the chance to see their words become a film.
