Every writer knows the feeling. It’s 2 AM, the coffee has gone cold, and the cursor is a rhythmic taunt. You wonder if the spark—that specific, messy, beautiful human intuition—is becoming obsolete. You see the headlines. You see the models. You wonder if you’re the last of a dying breed.

There is a fear that the "magic box" will simply replace the artisan. That "prompt engineering" will replace the sweat and blood of a three-act structure. It’s a legitimate fear. If built carelessly, technology can indeed flatten the human spirit until all that's left is a derivative echo of what came before.

We are writers, too. When we started Open Screenplay, we looked at the landscape of global storytelling. We saw a gap between the immense talent of storytellers and the technical tools available to them. We built Rawi—named after the traditional Arabic "storyteller"—not as a ghostwriter, but as a writing partner.

Rawi exists to help you find your story, not to find it for you. It is the version of AI that writers actually deserve: one that respects the blank page and understands that the soul of a script cannot be generated by a mathematical probability of the next word.
