Animated Children's Web Series
We are delighted to partner with Muslim Kids TV and MPAC’s Hollywood Bureau to bring you an exciting story concept contest for a children’s animated series for a global streaming service!
We are looking for great storytellers and writers to help us come up with a new animated web series for children ages 7 to 12 years. We want you to write up a story concept that briefly explains what the series is about. This includes series title, logline, theme, period, setting, and series synopsis. The story can be set anywhere and in any time period, and you have the freedom to narrow the age range and decide if the series is serial or procedural.
Important: The writer should exercise cultural sensitivity to a mainly Muslim audience
Type: Story Concept only
Duration: Story Concept only, keeping in mind that, once developed, the episodes would be for a 13-part series, and are 12 minutes in length each.

Contest Mini-Rules
This contest is open to all registered users of Open Screenplay. Contest begins on May 3rd, 2021 at 12:00 AM (ET) and ends on July 26th, 2021 at 11:59 PM (ET). There are a total of three (5) prizes available to be won as follows: one (1) First Prize consisting of a license fee cash award of CDN $750, and in Contest Partner’s sole discretion, the option of production, one (1) Second Prize consisting of a license fee cash award of CDN $350, and three (3) Prizes consisting of a license fee cash award of CDN $100. Contest is open to Open Screenplay Members, excluding residents of Quebec, Canada, who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry (parental or guardian consent required if entrant is under the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry). Odds of winning depend on number and quality of eligible entries received before contest closes. Limitations apply. See full rules and entry details.
