Tell Us a Story. Any Story
Tell us a story — any story. Any genre, any subject, any voice. Drama or comedy, horror or sci-fi, period piece or coming-of-age — whatever moves you, moves us. The only rule is that it has to be yours.
We're looking for a short film screenplay, no more than 15 pages — co-developed with Rawi, your AI writing partner across three modes: Screenwriting Companion, Critic, and Illustrator, all working toward one mission — making your story better.
- Open ONLY to Open Screenplay Members worldwide — BECOME A MEMBER
- Screenplay must be written exclusively on the Open Screenplay platform.
- Must be a wholly original work — no previously written or adapted scripts, no adaptations of existing IP.
- Must be developed using Rawi (Writer, Critic, or Illustrator — at least one). Rawi chat must exist alongside the screenplay showing conversation history and development progress.
- Maximum 15 pages, formatted to industry standard.
- Rating: Abide by a “PG-13” (or younger) rating. Consult the MPAA guidelines.
- Narrative: Fiction only — no documentaries or experimental films will be eligible.
- Language: Screenplay must be written in English.
- Maximum number of submissions: Unlimited. You may enter the contest with as many screenplays as you'd like. However, only completed screenplays will be considered.
- Failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in disqualification from the contest.
